NSW: NSW government in panic mode ahead of election - opposition

The NSW Opposition .. claims reports the state government's recruiting high profile
candidates for next year's election .. shows it's in panic mode.

Former rugby league test player .. GREG ALEXANDER .. has confirmed the Labor party's
asked him to run as a western Sydney candidate.

Mr ALEXANDER .. who played for the Penrith Panthers for most of his NRL career .. has
been touted to replace the current member for Penrith .. KARYN PALUZZANO.

Opposition leader PETER DEBNAM says the government's approach reflects its panic ahead
of the election next March.
