E-READER LAUNCHED: Asda Group PLC has introduced the View Quest Media-box e-reader for [pounds sterling]52, less than half the price Amazon charges for its market-leading Kindle. It features e-books, music and videos, and it allows users to use a voice recorder to make notes. Its 5-inch screen lights up for night reading and has a power-saving mode to reduce eye strain and improve battery life. But it lacks a link to the Internet through the 3G mobile phone network, which would allow books to be downloaded anywhere.
